After an eight-month deployment Marine Captain Dwayne Robertson comes home. His marine buddy Jeremy Phillips (see (see The Officer Breaks The Rules) picks up Dwayne to take him to his apartment, but first must stop at the home of their friend Tim O'Shay and his wife Skye (see The Officer Says I Do). When the pair arrives, several friends welcome Dwayne home. However he only has eyes for his Skype buddy Veronica Gibson; being the daughter of missionaries, she considers fleeing from the officer who has been the star of her nocturnal (and some day) dreams.

While Dwayne struggles with adjusting to civilian life and fearing he may suffer from PTSD; Veronica struggles with how he makes her feel. Though both behave uncomfortably with one another as neither wants to deal with their attraction, they cannot resist so become an entry. As they fall in love, health becomes an issue.

The third Semper Fidelis Always Faithful contemporary romance is a warm tale of love healing two wounded warriors. The lead couple is an interesting pair as he suffers from PTSD and she suffers from growing up emotionally excessively protected. Although the problems come across overly emoted, fans will relish the third marine veteran and his woman finding love heals most wounds.
