In Austin, Texas FBI agent Dutch Rivers gives as an engagement present to his fiancée, psychic investigator Abby Cooper, a .38 Special. She is upset while her business partner Candice Fusco thinks it’s a great present that shows how much Dutch loves her.
An obviously frightened woman in disguise calling herself Ms. Smith arrives to hire Abby, but tells her nothing except that her client had broken some laws. Abby reads the woman and tells her client hurt and probably killed someone. The woman tells the sleuth to watch the news and leaves. On TV APD asks for public help in the disappearance of Kendra Moreno who vanished leaving behind her one year old baby alone. Abby looks at her image and tells Candice she is dead probably a murder victim. The two sleuths agree to take on Ms. Smith’s case even as they get no cooperation from anyone.
The latest Psychic Eye mystery (see Vision Impossible) is a fabulous whodunit as the heroine returns to her roots (and best venue) with a wonderful paranormal detective tale. The wedding plans take a comedic back seat even with Abby’s plan-zilla sister Cat aggressively taking charge. Fans will relish the two BFF investigators looking into the murder of Kendra.
