In Billings, Montana, U.S. Air Force Colonel Robert Schmidt and Washington Stewart agree to a deal. The Colonel will provide uncut Afghan heroine to the hit man in exchange for the killer murdering his cheating wife and part of the sales. Washington, a drug dealing murderer from New York where he was James Singleton, is in the Witness Protection program working with the feds on a sting operation from Vegas to North Dakota. He kills the wife.

At the same time, Washington wants to murder monster Eddie Senta (see Eddie’s World) for disfiguring him when the latter shot him in the face ten years ago. He sends a couple of goons back east to kill Senta. When the thugs screw up the hit, one is left dead while the other has to explain what happened to Washington; Senta is in ICU clinging to his life. His wife hires retired NYPD homicide cop Alex Pavlik, who worked the Singleton case, to investigate.

This is a fast and furious thriller that brings back the antagonists in Eddie’s World in a good, the bad and the ugly storyline. Rotating between the northern Great Plains and the New York area, fans will enjoy this action-packed noir although the Feds are too scandalously uncaring about collateral damage or simply deadly avarice.
