Jenna Riley understands the irony of her disinterest in sports as she runs the family sport’s bar as the last man (woman) standing and has a brother Mick (see The Perfect Play) who is a NFL quarterback and another sibling Gavin (see Changing the Game) playing major league baseball. Instead since her birth, sports has left her mind drained.

NHL star Tyler Anderson has fallen in love with Jenna. However, she refuses to play ball (puck) with him because he is an athlete. He rejects her game misconduct penalty in order to purse the only prize greater than the Stanley Cup. Tyler learns why she resolutely denies her desire for him; He encourages her to stop doing the family thing in order to do her thing while offering to play defense for her.

The third Play-by-Play Riley heated sports romance is an entertaining tale starring an intriguing female protagonist. Jenna’s anti sports fervor brings freshness to the storyline and somewhat abates the non-use of a gender bending concept in which she is the athlete and he the fan. With enough heat to melt the ice, fans will enjoy Tyler’s game plan as he takes a slap shot at love.
