Cassie’s Grand Plan-Emmie Dark

Cassie’s Grand Plan

Emmie Dark

Harlequin SuperRomance, Mar 6 2012, $5.50

ISBN: 9780373717699

In Melbourne Cassidy Hartman is the head of operations for Country Style furniture. San Francisco based Conroy Corporation sends consultant Ronan Conroy to assess the firm as the owner wants to sell. Cassie thinks Ronan is here to assess her skills, but he knows his work will leave her unemployed while he will prove his worth to his father and become his dad’s partner at Conroy.

Cassie has a life plan to move up the corporate ladder, get a makeover, find a husband and raise a family in that order. She escorts Ronan on a tour of the company, but he realizes rather quickly that though he will cost her the management job, he has another position in mind for her as his wife and mother of his children. All he has to is convince her that love and business make strange but contented bedfellows.

The key to this engaging contemporary romance is the lead couple has immediate career goals that appear in conflict while sharing personal goals that seem in harmony if they survive the outcome of their mutually exclusive first objectives. Although the resolution seems abrupt, readers will enjoy this bi-continental romance as the protagonists appear to be an ocean apart.
