The Rancher’s Bride-Pamela Britton

The Rancher’s Bride

Pamela Britton

Harlequin American, Jun 5 2012, $5.25

ISBN: 9780373754113

Leaving behind in Georgia her abusive former fiancé and her business Wedding Belles, Jorie Peters takes a job at the Clayborne Ranch in Texas working for Odelia Clayborne as a wedding coordinator. Odelia expects her son Ryan to marry his childhood friend pregnant Laurel Harrington as does her father though the child is not his. However, he is attracted to the Georgia peach and Jorie feels the same way about him.

As Ryan and Jorie fall in love, his mom pushes his engagement to Laurel. When Odelia learns her employee slept with her son, she fires Jorie as a wedding planner cannot sleep with a “client”. Ryan fails to tell Jorie he loves her so she assumes he will obey his mom as he always does. She leaves town.

This is an intriguing ranch romance starring a fascinating cast with issues that keep the lead couple apart. Although the love relationship between the rancher and the coordinator never feels “undying”, contemporary fans will enjoy this Cowboy For Every Move tale as he must listen to his heart not his mother if he wants Georgia as his yellow peach of Texas.
