Her shrink persuades reticent moody author Bettina Boothe to attend a summer writers’ retreat with her online writers group. Bettina figured eight weeks with people like her should be easy especially at a beachfront house in Santa Barbara with great food and wine.
At the workshop Bettina meets and to her shock is attracted to her total opposite in extroverted Audrey LeClaire. Bettina is further stunned as she also wants another attendee Jack Curren. For someone who is relationship phobic, Bettina beings a tryst with Audrey and Jack that soon evolves into a ménage a trois.
The Lovers is not an easy read as each of the threesome who makes up the title characters have too many emotional issues that overwhelm the reader at times; ironically all that anxiety, the trio feels genuine as they make the story line more than just a series of ménage a trois. With hot sex scenes and deep psychotic relationship tsuris too easily overcome by love, erotic fans will enjoy this spicy heater.
