banana peel and the subsequent spinal surgeries leading Mack to speculate that
the physician screwed up. Cookie also
says her boyfriend Major a doctor sent her to McElroy and malpractice lawyer
Chris Charles. To Tug’s chagrin Henry
takes on Claudette “Cookie” Krumke as a client for both of them.
Tug receives a call from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome investigator (don’t
call him bill collector) Robert Killroy over paying fourteen dollars and change
to Wang’s Dry Cleaning for ruining a seven hundred dollar suit. When Robert howls in pain due to a van
running over his ankle, Tug thinks he has a new client.
The latest Tug Wyler Mystery (see Suzy’s Case) is a delightful
legal thriller due to a solid three dimensional cast. Tug represents two fascinating clients; deals
with a personal perjury charge brought by a third client; receives torture by a
pair of female shrews respectively at home and in the office, and further blows
to his psyche by his three children.
Told with tongue in cheek humor, readers will enjoy the antics of wisecracking Wyler whose musing
asides enhance the storyline.
