Realizing she lacks an alibi and needing to open the landmark ASAP, Allie investigates the homicide.
The first Candy-Coated mystery is a fun cozy due to the wonderful location filled with eccentric characters. Although the overused premise of an amateur sleuth making inquiries to stay out of jail detracts and the murderer’s motive is poor, fans will root for awesome Allie as she works her case and her grand opening preparations while trying to stay alive and out of jail.
